Welcome

Knockderry House is a 4 star Scottish country house hotel in Argyll and Bute and one of Scotland’s hidden treasures. Idyllically placed on the banks of Loch Long in Cove, Argyll Knockderry House has wide panoramic views of the Argyllshire hills and the famous Firth of Clyde. This Scottish Hotel is within easy reach of Loch Lomond, Loch Fyne and the historic town of Inveraray, yet it is less than an hour’s drive from Glasgow and less from Glasgow Airport.

Whether you visit for business or pleasure, a special occasion or a spur-of-the-moment weekend break, the welcome will always be warm, the service attentive yet discreet and the dining everything you would expect from an award-winning restaurant and hotel.

Traditional Scottish Food

Our food is dominated by the produce from the sea lochs and the rich pasture land that surrounds us and influenced by traditional recipes of Scotland. We use fresh Scottish produce in conjuring up our menus and local produce whenever possible. So if you are looking for an excellent place to eat in the Loch Lomond or Clyde Sea Lochs area, then dining at Knockderry House is an experience you’ll savour.

Weddings and Private Events

Knockderry House was originally a summer retreat for a wealthy Scottish family and as such was designed for events and special occasions such as weddings, dinner parties, anniversaries, christenings, and birthday parties.

This lovely house can be yours for your special day with our Exclusive Use Package.
