Birdlife on Loch Lomond
Available 5 April to 3 November 2019
The countryside around Knockderry House is rich in wildlife waiting to be discovered. We’ve teamed up with Cruise Loch Lomond to bring you a great mini break experience that gives you the opportunity to see some of the abundant birdlife (and if you’re lucky, a pine marten or two) at the RSPB special Reserve near Inversnaid, on Loch Lomond. The RSPB Reserve at Inversnaid is a very special place and an opportunity for you to come face-to-face with extraordinary wildlife, long-lost ruins and spectacular views.
Our Wildlife Experience is based on a two-night stay and includes two nights accommodation, an award-winning Scottish breakfast both days and a cruise on Loch Lomond with Cruise Loch Lomond to Inversnaid.
This unique cruise takes you across Loch Lomond to the Inversnaid RSPB Reserve which opens onto moorland with spectacular views over oak woodland to Loch Lomond. Catch sight of summer migrants like pied flycatcher or perhaps a pine marten. Wood warblers could sing you songs while ravens watch from the hill. If you’re lucky, golden eagles can be glimpsed above the tree-tops with black- and red-throated divers skimming the Loch in the early morning mist.
Prices start from as little as £64.50 per person per night for a small double. Rates vary throughout the season.
