All our rooms are different and have their own character, however, all rooms have the following items for your convenience: A plasma flat screen television, handmade organic toiletries by Arran Aromatics, bathrobes, Egyptian cotton bed linen, complimentary tea and coffee with Tunnock Teacakes, direct dial telephone, free wifi and a hairdryer.
Our rooms have two bed sizes, rooms advertising a King size bed have beds that are 5ft wide and those advertising a Standard size bed have beds that are 4ft 6″ wide.
In Room Beverages
Tea and freshly brewed coffee are available to enjoy in your room along with Tunnoch Teacakes.
Room Service Menu
We are able to offer a range of light snacks in your room from 11.00 am until 3.00 pm and from 5.30 pm until 9.00 pm – please see the room service menu in your folder.
In Room Dining
We are happy to serve your breakfast in your room for a tray service charge of £5.00. If you would like to have breakfast served in your room, please place your order with our staff before 10.00 pm on the previous evening to allow arrangements to be made.
We are happy to offer a limited laundry service to residents. We do not have a large laundry on site so if you have a significant number of items we can arrange for your laundry to be collected and returned to the hotel. Laundry may take up to 3 days to return and the bill will be added to your account. Should you have only a few items we can launder these in-house, normally within 24 hrs – details and costs are listed in your room folder or can be provided to you at reception.
Books and Games
We have a variety of Scottish tour books and novels in the hotel for you to browse during your stay and a range of traditional board games for you to enjoy.
Residents may check in from 3.00 pm until 10.00 pm; Should you wish to check in earlier or later please contact us directly so we can make suitable arrangements to receive you.
If you plan on arriving after reception has closed (10.00 pm) we can make arrangements for you to gain late access to the hotel as the front door will not close until approximately 11.00 pm. If however, you plan on arriving after midnight, we may charge a late arrival fee of £30 per hour, to cover the addtional staff required to wait to receive you and to assist your arrival. We are grateful for your understanding and recommend discussing any desire to check in late with us at an early opportunity so that we may assist you with your plans.
Late Entry to the Hotel (Post Check In)
The hotel’s reception closes at 10.00 pm and we normally close the front door at around 11.00 pm, however should you wish to go out to an event and anticipate returning after we have closed we can arrange to lend you a key for a small deposit which will be refunded after it has been returned. The is only available for guests who have previously checked in to the the hotel and not new arrivals.
We ask residents to check out of their rooms by 11.00 am on the date of their departure to allow us time to complete service for new occupants.
Should you wish to use the phone in your room please dial ‘9’ for an outside line and then dial the number you require. Room to room calls have not been facilitated to ensure guest privacy, however, if you dial ‘0’ for reception and ask a member of the staff they will direct your call.
Reception is limited for some providers. The most reliable service provider is Vodafone, however, you may need to move toward the front of the building for reception.
All rooms are wi-fi enabled, and connection is free for residents. However, due to our location our wifi strength can vary and may at time be difficult to access. We have some rooms with broadband connections. Should you wish to use the broadband connection in your room we can lend you a connection cable and provide advice on getting online.

If you require car hire for your trip to Knockderry Country House, you can make a booking through Arnold Clark.
We are happy to offer accommodation for well-behaved dogs with their owners for a small charge of £15.00 per stay. If you wish to leave your dog in your room for a short time we request that you bring a crate or cage for them. Dogs not in a crate or cage must not be left unattended in your room at any time, nor are dogs to be allowed to sit on the furnishings including the bed and the sofa.
