Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival 2017
November 25, 2017 to November 26, 2017
Cove and Kilcreggan Annual Book Festival 2017
Ian Rankin and Jon Snow headline an exciting line up of authors, writers, and performers who are due to participate at our fifth annual Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival.
This fantastic event is to take place over the weekend of 25-26th November 2017, in Cove Burgh Hall – a short walk or drive from Knockderry House. The event has a growing reputation of including established and exciting new authors in its line up and this year will be no different. This year the Book Festival is presenting a Food and Drink Special with Rachel McCormack – a regular of the Kitchen Cabinet, and Sue Lawrence – a hugely influential Scottish Food writer amongst the many presenters invited to speak.
Authors taking the stage at Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival this year include Sarah Trevelyan (ex wife of Jimmy Boyle) Jim Carruth (the Glasgow Makar) Paul MacAlindin (founder of the Iraqi Youth Orchestra) Jon Snow (Anchor of Channel 4 News) and Ian Rankin (top selling crime writer). And for the first time there will be food and drink theme at the two-day event in November, which will be held in Cove Burgh Hall for the fifth year.
Chairs include: Sarah Smith – Scotland editor BBC, Rosemary Burnett – former head of Amnesty International Scotland, Cate Devine – Herald Food Writer, Peggy Hughes – Director Dundee Book Festival, and our very own Ruth Wishart – journalist and broadcaster.
