Wedding Terms & Conditions

Exclusive Definition

The term ‘Exclusive Use’ refers to times that the hotel is closed to members of the general public. The hotel and its grounds will be closed to the public from 11.00 am on the day of the wedding until 11.00am the following day. Extensions to these hours are upon application.

Provisional Bookings

A provisional booking will be held for a period of 7 days without obligation. Thereafter, a date is not secure until a non-refundable deposit of £750.00 has been paid and a letter or e-mail confirming the deposit has been received. Should the function date be less than 3 months hence then no provisional bookings will be accepted. Payment of the deposit and the acceptance or the reservation will constitute a formal contract and acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that the wedding is cancelled and the wedding has been confirmed the deposit will be retained and a fee applied. Customers are advised to insure against such eventualities.

  • If the wedding is cancelled 3 months or less before the date there will be a cancellation charge of 50% of the agreed costs of the function.
  • If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks before the date there will be a cancellation charge of 75%.
  • If the function is cancelled within 14 days of the function the agreed costs of the function will be forfeit.

Payment of Accounts

An invoice for the balance will be issued 3 months before the function and 50% of the agreed costs will fall due. One month prior to the function, the balance of the agreed costs will fall due. It is understood that these terms and conditions are accepted fully by the clients when confirming the booking. Payments by credit card will attract a handling surcharge. Pre payments for non arrivals are non-returnable and cannot be transferred to cover food, drinks or entertainment for other members of the party.

Decorations

No advertising material or decorations may be fixed to walls, ceilings floors etc within the house. However signs, banners or flags may be erected outside with prior permission. The client is liable for the costs of making good any damage to the fabric of the House caused by their negligence or by the negligence of their guests or suppliers.

Confirmation of final arrangements (including the menu) should be confirmed to the hotel at least 28 days prior to the event. Final numbers and an accurate guest list is needed 7 full days prior to the date of the wedding.

Bar Opening Hours

The bar will remain open until 2400hrs, should you wish to extend beyond these hours then there will be an administration fee of £100 per hour. The latest we will keep the bar open is 2.00 am. An invoice for the drinks bill arising from additional expenditure at the function will be issued at the end of the event and must be settled before departure unless alternative arrangements have been made.

Confetti

No confetti is allowed within the hotel. Should you wish, biodegradable confetti or real flower petals are acceptable outside the hotel.
