Watersports
The Clyde Estuary provides excellent sailing and watersports within its many sealochs, and together with superb inland lochs, makes one of the best sailing environments in the world. Those taking to the water can choose to venture out into the river or stick to the calmer bays and sealochs, the latter being ideal for dingy sailing. Marina facilities are available at Rhu, and moorings are available at Clynder on the Rosneath Peninsula. At Knockderry House we also have 6 well-maintained moorings.
Sea canoeing, wind-surfing and kayaking are also popular, as is water skiing. Loch Lomond’s inland waters are famous as one of the finest watersport venues in Scotland, with open spaces, sheltered bays and islands to explore. Boat and equipment hire is available.
