Bring In The Bells...
The Scottish way with the traditional pipes, a ceilidh, and party fayre, all in a beautiful location.

Hogmanay Celebrations & Country House Party

Heed the call of the piper and join fellow guests for a glass of bubbly and canapés prior to a candle lit dinner created by Head Chef, Johnny Aitken and his team. A full evening of entertainment will be provided by our traditional Ceilidh Band, The Assembly Players after dinner.

Dancing will continue through until 1am whilst at "The Bells" a dram is served to welcome in the New Year with a First Foot supper.

To celebrate the New Year we are offering a 3 night break from 30th December 2010 to 2nd January 2011 inclusive.

Programme


30th December 2010
Arrive at your leisure meet fellow house guests and join us for a cocktail and canapés served in the bar from 7.30pm followed by dinner in the restaurant.

31st December 2010
Full Scottish Breakfast is served from 8.30 – 10.00am and then the day is yours to take in the local scenery, perhaps visit a local distillery at Glengoyne or Auchentoshan, take a run up to the beautiful town of Inveraray or take in some of the wonderful walks around the hotel.

Complimentary afternoon tea is served from 3 – 4pm. Our Hogmanay Party starts from 6.45pm with a complimentary glass of fizz and canapés served in the lounge to get you in the mood! Dress, is usually black tie, kilts or mess kit for the gentlemen and evening dress for the ladies.

After dinner, our Ceilidh starts and the pipes see in the bells and then its party time!

1st January 2011
New Year’s Day brunch is a tradition at Knockderry House and people come from miles to enjoy the bracing sealoch air and our wonderful brunch to start the year. Food is served from 11am – 4pm.

Relax in the lounge or if you are feeling brave recover from the night's exertions with a New Years dip or simply a walk along the beautiful lochside!

Dinner (for those who can manage it) is served in the Restaurant from 6.30 pm. (Dinner not included)

2nd January 2011
If you choose to have it, a Full Scottish Breakfast is served from 9.00 – 10.00am and then fond farewells and memories of your New Year celebrations.

Tariff


Rates are per person for 3 nights to include all the above (less the dinner on the last night) and are based on 2 people sharing a double room. All prices include VAT @ 17.5%.

All our rooms have been recently refurbished & are all individually designed. Due to the age of the building, some rooms are slightly smaller than others so are priced accordingly.
  • Library Suite – – A Private Luxury Suite of two rooms comprising of a sitting room overlooking the loch and private bedroom with ½ tester bed : £475.00 per person (Note : The adjoining Sitting Room can accommodate a two people in a fold out luxury sofa bed price upon application)
  • Master Bedrooms - 4 Poster Rooms with views over the loch and luxury roll top baths - £425.00 per person
  • Contemporary Rooms – Kingsize beds with views to the front of the hotel - £400.00 per person
  • Traditional Rooms – Victorian Carved standard double rooms with views to the side of the hotel - £375.00 per person
  • Small Doubles - Fully ensuite smaller double rooms with restricted views - £350.00 per person. Single occupancy of small double rooms will be charged at a single occupancy rate, however, all other rooms will be charged at a double occupancy rate.
As we have a limited number of rooms we usually become fully booked pretty quickly. If when you call you find that all the rooms are reserved do ask about alternative accommodation locally……and still come and join the party!

Booking Conditions
  • A 50% deposit is required at time of booking.
  • Payment in full is required by 1st December 2010.
  • All payments should are non-refundable, if cancellations are made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival.
  • Please note that there is a 2.5% service charge on all payments made by credit cards.
  • We recommend holiday insurance to cover unavoidable cancellations.
