Deposits

To guarantee your reservation, you will be asked for a credit card number, and non returnable deposit of £25.00 per person per night. If a Credit Card is not available then cleared funds are required within 7 days of booking. A Provisional Booking will not be kept for longer than 24 hours.

Arriving and Departing

Check In: From 1400 hrs - earlier by arrangement.
Check Out: By 1100 hrs – later by arrangement.

Late Arrivals: Please advise us if you are intending to arrive after 10.00 pm so that arrangements can be made to greet you. We cannot guarantee access to the hotel if you do not inform us that you will be arriving after this time.

Cancellations

Our geographical position makes it necessary for us to reserve the right to make a full charge for any cancellation within 48 hours of arrival or for any curtailment of a stay if the room remains unsold. For longer stays we recommend you to take out insurance against cancellation.

Payment

We regret that due to escalating charges we can no longer carry the costs of credit card transactions and instead will add these to your bill at the rate of 2.5% for normal cards and 4.5% for AMEX.  Costs of Switch and Debit Card transactions will continue to be born by the hotel.

Children and Families

We currently have one family room with a standard double and a fold out sofa bed suitable for children under 14 yrs. Children under 5 are free; 5-14 yrs can share their parents bedroom in a family room for a charge of £20.00 per night including breakfast. (Max 2 per room).

Smoking

Since the 26 March 2006 smoking in Scotland is not permitted in any public place nor in any of our bedrooms – we will be obliged to charge you a minimum of a further nights stay for any additional cleaning and laundering required to return the room to a smoke free atmosphere.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at Knockderry House. They are allowed in some bedrooms but not permitted in public areas. There is a charge of £15 per stay.

Corporate Bookings

All reservations must be confirmed in writing upon headed notepaper. No deposit is required but please note our cancellation policy.

Online Bookings

We are pleased to offer our customers an online booking facility through a third party provider. To partially offset the cost we charge a £5.00 booking fee per night for all bookings thus made. Bookings taken by phone direct to the hotel, however, incur no such booking fee.

Bookings through 3rd Party

No commission is payable unless agreed in advance in writing with Seaforth Hotels Ltd.
