We hope these few notes answer any questions you may have about the hotel, its services and the local area. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask any member of staff.

Room Service

There are tea and coffee making facilities in your room. Irons and ironing boards are available in the Butlers Pantry. Hairdryers are to be found in your rooms.

In addition the Butlers Pantry holds a range of snacks and alcoholic beverages should the bar be closed.

We are able to offer a range of light snacks in your room from 11.00 am until 3.00 pm and from 5.30 until 9.30 pm. – please see the menu in your folder or read the Room Service Menu.

Breakfast, is available in your room, for a service charge of £4.95 per person. If you would like breakfast in your room, please your order with our staff before 8pm stating if you would like tea or coffee and when you would like it served.

The Butlers Pantry

To ensure that you have quick and easy access to a variety of little things that you might need whilst staying with us we have established the Butlers Pantry on the First Landing of the old house for your convenience.

There you will find ironing boards, irons, shoe cleaning kit, housewife/needle and thread as well as useful items like stationary and a clothes brush. If you have any suggestions for the Pantry let us know and we will try and include them for your next stay.

We can arrange to leave fresh milk for your tea and coffee in the fridge if you prefer. Just let us know and we will arrange to leave a jug of milk for the evening.

Laundry

We are happy to offer a laundry service to residents. We do not have a laundry on site so if you have a large number of items we can arrange for your laundry to be collected and returned to the hotel. Laundry may take up to 3 days to return and the bill will be added to your account. Should you have only a few items we can launder these in house, normally within 24 hrs – please ask at reception for details.

Video, Books and Games

We have a reasonably large collection of videos, CDs and DVDs which are to be found in The Butlers Pantry. There are a variety of books and games available in the hotel.

Residents may check in from 3.00 pm earlier, by prior arrangement.

Check Out

We would ask residents to check out of their rooms by 11am on the date of their departure to allow us time to complete service for new occupants.

Late Arrival (Late Entry to the Hotel)

Should you wish to check in after 10.00 pm we request that you give us some prior warning, so we can anticipate your arrival.

The hotel normally closes the front door at 11.00 pm (a little later at weekends). Should you wish to go out for the evening and anticipate a late return, we can make arrangements for you to gain access to the hotel.

Communications

Should you wish to use the phone in your room please dial 9 for an outside line and then dial the number you require. Our charges are quite reasonable and are as follows:

• 15p per minute for all local and national calls
• 20p per minute for 0870 numbers
• 35p per minute for all mobile calls
• 40p per minute for all European and US calls

All calls are rounded up to nearest minute. Premium rate numbers are not available. In addition there is a public call box in the reception. Should you wish to use our fax, we charge 40p per page to send and receive.

Most rooms are wi-fi enabled. However, it is best that you check at the time of reserving you room as some rooms have better access than others. Should you wish to use our own computer to access the internet, we request that you give us a little warning as the computer is also used for business purposes. We do not charge for wi-fi connectivity.

Meal Timings

Should you wish to dine please let us know so that we can reserve you a table on busy evenings.

Breakfast Monday to Friday is served in the Dining Room from 7-9am and from 8.30 –10am at weekends and Bank Holidays. Should you require breakfast earlier than advertised we can offer a limited continental breakfast in the dining room from 6.30 am Mon – Fri and from 7.30 a.m. at weekends. A service charge of £5.00 is normally payable for breakfasts served earlier.

Lunch is served from 12.30 ‘til 2.30 p.m. Mon to Fri and until 3.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Evening Dining is from 6.00 p.m. ‘til 9.00 p.m. from Monday until Saturday and until 8.30 p.m. on Sunday.
