Knockderry Country House is a small 4 star country house hotel with a 2 Rosette restaurant and recent holders of Romantic Hotel of the Year at the 2016 Scottish Hotel Awards. We are now looking for an experienced Sous Chef with rosette experience to join our small kitchen brigade.
We offer quality dining using fresh Scottish produce to both residents and non residents in our 32 seater restaurant.
You will be an integral part of the kitchen team, assisting the head chef with menu planning, costing and training. You will be expected to help the head chef maintain, deliver and execute all aspects of running a successful kitchen operation. In particular:
We are 20 minutes drive from Helensburgh and can offer live in accommodation if required.

Knockderry House is a small country house hotel with a strong reputation for good seasonal and Scottish food. We are currently looking for a General Assistant to join us – if you are looking for an opportunity to work in a local hotel with a small but hardworking team then please send us your cv explaining why you are the right candidate for us.
The main duties of a General Assistant are to assist the Duty Manager run the front of house and housekeeping operation on a day to day basis.
Tasks will include:
Setting up for breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
Assisting serve breakfast / lunch or dinner.
Cleaning food areas including the restaurant and bar as well as equipment, crockery and cutlery.
Assisting Housekeeping department service roomsIn addition, you may be asked to assist with any weddings or events that we hold at the hotel.
Experience is desirable but not essential as we are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual who is keen to work in a team.
Please note that the hours can be early if serving breakfast (7.00 am) or late on a busy night which may require you to have your own transport to get home as the last bus leaves at 10.00 pm.
Please outline in your application if you are a car driver and when you would be available for an interview/working trial. Salary is based upon experience but in the region of £7.20 per hour
You must be able to demonstrate a courteous manner yet be focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer care.This is a part time position will be at least 3 days per week with the opportunity for more shifts during holidays and busy periods.
